British Parliament

Today we went to The Parliament or Palace of Westminster in London. We took the metro,

but here it's called the Underground. This palace is mostly a new one because the original one was burnt around 200 years ago.

In the Parliament there are many things, for example there are Westminster’s halls or rooms with a lot of paintings of queens and kings like Queen Victoria, King Charles, King Arthur & Queen Elizabeth II & others.

There are rooms with decorated walls & statues of many legendary people, rooms with tables, lights, chairs and benches. Is called a Parliament like “parler” which means “to talk” in French because in this place people gather to talk or discuss different matters.

There are two chambers, the House of Lords which is mostly red and has golden decorations and the House of Commons which mostly has the color green and has less decorations.

In the Parliament you will find the Big Ben tower, but remember that Big Ben is a bell which is the great bell and the two aside are the quarter bells.
