I went to Boston and Cambridge with my family and it was super fun and also kinda cool 😄 ! We saw so many museums and historic stuff, and I learned a lot without even feeling like school.
We visited Harvard in Cambridge. Yes, the real Harvard! I didn’t know universities could have so many museums. My favorite one there was the Harvard Museum of Natural History, they had cool animals🦥 and the glass flowers💮 were super real-looking even though they’re made of glass (my brain🧠still can’t understand how they did that). We also went to the Harvard Art Museum🎨, the Peabody Museum of Archeology and Ethnology, and the Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East. There were mummies💀 and old stuff from Egypt and Mesopotamia. I couldn’t believe how old everything was.
Then my dad took me to this place called the Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments and it was like science from the past! There were old telescopes, globes, and machines🤖. It was so cool to see how science used to look before computers💻.
Back in Boston, we went to the Museum of Science and that was my favorite part of the whole trip! There were things to press and try and games and robots and even lightning⚡ shows. I didn’t wanna leave.
We also did some history stuff. We walked the Freedom Trail with a guide dressed in old clothes. He talked about the American Revolution and we saw Paul Revere’s house and some old churches. Then we went to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum and I got to throw the tea☕ off the ship⚓ like the real thing.
Boston is such a cool city. It’s full of smart people and old buildings and fun museums. I learned a ton but it still felt like a vacation.
