Today we went to the Oxford Museum of Natural History which was amazing. It had fossils of Pterosaurs like Tapejara or Pteranodon. There were also fossils of Mosasaurus & Kronosaurus, also a Plesiosaurus which was also in the London Museum of Natural History which I explained in another blog.

There is a Tyrannosaurus rex fossil, this is a dinosaur with a bite 10 times the strength of an alligator bite. Close to it is the BambiRaptor they found in the United States and is named after Bambi. There is an Iguanodon fossil, and an Edmontosaurus & a Struthiomimus which is closely related to the Gallimimus.

There are also whale skulls and cetaceans skeletons hanging from the ceiling. They have a lot of skeletons of big mammals at the back, like rhino, horse, elephants, etc. The Museum is the only one that has soft tissue of a Dodo bird. There are lots of stuffed birds you can see like crows, grouse, red ibis, secretary bird, king penguin, albatross, & etc.

They had a lot of good presentations. I liked the one with a video chart about symbiosis, parasitism & predation. It was very well explained.
